Mayors of Paris, London and Berlin Invited to Moscow Pride 2009

ride organizers appeal for the politicians’ solidarity with LGBT community

Organising Committee of Moscow Gay Pride invited Mayors of the leading European capitals to take part in Gay Pride events in Russian capital in 2009. On 6 August the letters were sent to Paris Mayor Bertrand Delanoe, London Mayor Boris Johnson and Berlin Mayor Klaus Wowereit.

The events of forth Moscow Gay Pride will take place on May 15-17, 2009 when Russian capital will host the Eurovision song contest, which traditionally attracts the attention of the LGBT community in Europe.

Manifestation of Moscow Gay Pride to which Mayors of Paris, London and Berlin are invited will take place on Saturday 16 May, on the day of Eurovision final. It will be dedicated to the International Day against homophobia which is celebrated on 17 May around the world.
